THE PRESIDENT of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan has announced a cash compensation of N5 million for each of the families of the 10 slain members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and has also directed them to forward the name of one unemployed sibling of the deceased for immediate employment in the Federal Civil Service.

POLICE ARREST CORP MEMBERS, AND 12 OTHERS OVER ALLEGED ELECTORAL CRIME
In Lagos, Lagos state, thirteen persons, including six (6) women and a member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, working with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, were Tuesday arrested by the police in Lagos State, during the Governorship and House of Assembly Elections in the State, for allegedly attempting to hijack ballot boxes, disrupt electoral processes and tomb-printing of ballots papers.
